“Our mission is to use high-quality, local and fresh foods cooked well and offered quickly in a modern, professional and hospitable setting that doubles as a comfortable community center. We promise to exceed customer expectations.”

OUR PHILOSPOPHY
High Heat is a welcoming place, where you can get authentic honest and extraordinary char-grilled burgers made with dry-aged beef.
With over 35 years of high-end cooking experience, chef-owner Waldy Malouf selects the best local, organic and delicious ingredients he can get with suppliers he personally knows. Then Waldy uses his honed chef’s techniques of searing with a wood-burning fire because burgers simply taste best when cooked over high heat.
Besides committing to offer the best fast-casual experience anywhere, with delicious food and quality house-made beverages, Waldy promises to support his team members, vendors and the Greenwich Village community. Waldy’s team includes his partners–daughter, Merrill, who sources the charming wines on tap, and his son Max, who helps manage High Heat, maintain a fun atmosphere and quality control over the beer offerings.
High Heat provides a taste of what future fast-casual restaurants will offer – delicious food and quality on-tap beverages at an affordable price point. Like all of Waldy’s past endeavors as chef owner of Beacon in Midtown, chef of Manhattan’s Rainbow Room and chef-partner of Hudson River Club, High Heat is at least a decade ahead of its time offering locally sourced, premium products in a sophisticated, contemporary and relaxed atmosphere. High Heat was built with real wood, iron, marble, leather and rustic stone to match the honest food it offers.
